The NEEDONE Cigar Humidor Pro 23L is a constant temperature holding storage for cigars. Since cigars need to be stored within a certain temperature and humidity environment, this does that while looking premium. One can use the classic tupperware, but this can hold much more without looking like a basement DIY den. The controls are on the glass door, and the number lights up clearly with the LED light. Once the humidity reservoir is seasoned, maintenance is light and just occasionally. Overall this is a decent humidor that takes storing and displaying cigars to a more premium setup.
This is a nice humidor. It was actually bigger than I thought it would be as it's long. It's about the size of an old floor computer tower. Though it was not packed well in the mailing box, the packaging box was good. I took it out and set it on the counter, leaving it as instructed for two hours so it could settle. When I plugged it in everything worked. The motor is very quiet. The front is a window with a light in it that you can turn off and on. You can also set the temperature and humidity levels on the front panel. Inside there are two wooden shelves and a wooden drawer. This will hold a lot of cigars, but I don't know if it will go up to 150. It comes with a squeeze bottle to fill the reservoir in the back with water. I am using distilled water so nothing builds up as our water is very hard here. I compared the door readings to my own temp and hygrometer and they were usually within a one point of each other. The humidor is not really heavy and has feet. You can use it just about anywhere you can get clearance all around. You will need to access the back to clean the filter. Note that this can not be used as a fridge as it will not get cold enough as it has a small range of 61-72 degrees. Humidity can range from 65-75%. It will read the humidity lower and higher though. It does not have a car adapter and is not meant to be used outside.
It arrived quick and was packaged securely. I did follow instructions and let it sit straight up for 2 hours before plugging it in and starting the seasoning process. It smelled a little bit like plastic so per manual I wiped down all the plastic (not cedar) with a distilled water/baking soda mixture with a microfiber cloth. As far as seasoning I had the unit off and threw in a 84% 320gram boveda pack for 5 days. Once the humidity was stabilized according to my govee hygrometer I then turned on the unit added my 65% boveda packs and cigars.Pro tip: If you want to get the plastic smell out of the humidor take out the cedar trays. Wipe down all of the plastic inside with a baking soda and distilled water mixture. Then wipe it off with just distilled water. Open the door let it air out for a few hours. Add a bowl of baking soda to the humidor and let it sit for 24 hours. Then remove the bowl of baking soda and keep the door open for a day and you’re all set.
I've had this NeedOne Pro Humidor for 30 days and I love it, much better than my old wood box humidor. My cigars taste awesome and feel perfectly humidified. This humidor looks great, I love the look of the black cabine,the spanish wood shelf and drawer are made very well, the controls are easy to read and adjust and the light strips inside show of my cigars.
